For expand its routes, VARIG acquired two Klemm L-25 aircraft, in 1929. Besides carrying mail cargo, it made advertising flights on Rio Grande do Sul state. They were registered as PP-VAA and PP-VAB, and named “Ruyzinho” and “Irma”. Klemm L-25 was a German aircraft with fixed landing gear, two cockpits and its fuselage was covered with wood. The L-25 could take off with only 50 km/h speed and was very easy to assemble.
